Convicts Index  - This is the NSW State Records website. Certificates of Freedom, 1823-1869 and Tickets of Exemption from Government Labor, 1827-1892 can be found and ordered from here.

Colonial Secretary Papers  - This is a searchable database of the Colonial Secretary Papers from the beginning of Australian history to 1825. Although the full entry is not here, there is a description and copies may be ordered.

Descendants of Convicts Group - Some information on the convict system. This is a site to list which convicts you are researching. There is a membership and there are some links. The links are slower, though, as the page is set to show links in its own frame instead of taking you to the new link.

The Intolerable Hulks - British Shipboard Confinement 1776- 1857

The International Center for Convict Studies - An electronic archive of research, course materials, convict narratives and other information relating to the study of penal transportation and convict experience within the British Empire from 1600-1940. ICCS is a non profit consortium of scholars from Australia, Britain, Europe and North America.

Irish Convicts to NSW - 1791-1820 - The database includes Irish State prisoners, convicts who were tried in Ireland, and convicts who were tried outside Ireland whose native place was in Ireland.

Proceedings of the Old Bailey - 1674 to 1834 - A fully searchable online edition of the largest body of texts detailing the lives of non-elite people ever published, containing accounts of over 100,000 criminal trials held at London's central criminal court.
